A dear group of friends and I had the pleasure of experiencing the talent and magic of Chef Robbie. We planned a special birthday dinner for one of our closest friends, and in our search for a Chef that would do a private, in-home event, we found Chef Robbie. He was a pleasure to work with and very creative in helping to design the courses in conjunction with what we wanted. The day of our small event, he and his staff were professional, informed and fun to work with...to say nothing of how amazing every course was that he prepared. Robbie Rensel is an amazing dude and a really good chef. We had Robbie host a dinner party for us and everything was absolutely delicious! The two best things about this experience.. 1) Robbie was very personal and brought his joy of cooking to us, and 2) the best part.. we had a 9-yr old that became a sous chef for a night! She got a chefs jacket and knife, and then proceeded to learn all about the dishes, even preparing two of the courses herself!! And not something simple.. one of the dishes was cherries jubilee with coconut cake and cinnamon ice cream. It was an amazing experience for her and for us. Truly unique!!

Our group engaged Robbie for an executive team building event and it was exceptional. Robbie and his team put together an iron chef-like competition that had our entire team engaged, excited and working together to prepare a meal in his high-grade kitchens with fresh ingredients. Robbie was fantastic. He was extremely knowledgable and explained things very well. He encouraged questions throughout the private cooking class and not only answered everything we asked, but also always made us feel comfortable. The menu was excellent and really allowed us to learn a wide range of new tools, tricks and recipes from homemade pasta, start to finish, to working with shellfish and navigating the mysteries of Beef Wellington. He took his time with us and was great at working with not only my husband and I, but also our teenaged daughters. I would highly recommend Chef Robbie and his crew at Savory Celebrations above other cooking classes. You'll learn so much, have someone with top notch experience and knowledge, all with one-on-one personal attention. We'll be working with Robbie and Savory Celebrations again for certain.
