Savory Celebration understands how important it is that you have a cohesive department or team that can work well together and understand each other's strengths and weaknesses. For a team building activity to be effective, it must focus on similar group goals and activities. Physically intensive events can turn out to be more about personal goals and effort which can undermine the activity in the long run. Cooking classes and culinary competitions offer a unique experience for corporate team building because food has something for everybody. We still focus on perspective roles such as leadership, support, safety and quality assessment, but in a fun, laid back atmosphere designed to foster better communication and increased motivation. This is an integral part of our core mantra “bringing people together through food”.

Cooking Class

Cooking classes are a great choice for overall team building. Our chefs will instruct your team every step of the way in preparing a custom menu of your choice. These classes are 100% hands on and can be paired with wine or beer of your choosing. At the end of the session, take the recipes home to impress your friends later with your new skills and confidence in the kitchen.

Iron Chef
Competition

Put your chef hats on and get ready to cook! Go head to head with fellow co-workers in an Iron Chef style competition where groups can test their team work, improvisation, and ability to accomplish a common goal. Under the watchful eye of our expert chefs, each team will incorporate a mystery ingredient into their dish and create delicious culinary creations in an effort to best the other team in this chef battle royale.

Major Capital Projects

Did you just put a team together to work on a major capital project? Do you want them to get the feel of working with each other in their respective roles? This team builder is designed to do just that! Choose from the cooking class or iron chef style team builders, but add in specific roles to the team. Delegate specific tasks and plan and execute the meal all while working together to crush your opponent.

Prices are based on included sample and custom menus with similar layouts. If more elaborate menus or specialty ingredients are needed there may be an additional surcharge.
